Carlo is an analytical and decisive Senior Executive, an Italian native, based in the Cayman Islands since 2009. He has a broad knowledge of all aspects of retail operations, with a focus on the customer experience, sales and marketing. He possesses a deep knowledge of the US and Caribbean luxury retail duty-free and cruise market, as well as the European airport travel retail industry. He has worked for several major companies including Rome Airports, where he was leading the Marketing department of the Commercial Direction, and more recently served as Marketing Director for Island Companies Ltd in Grand Cayman. He then served in different management roles at leading retailers such Sunglass Hut, Capilux and LVMH/Starboard Cruise Services. In 2005 he was appointed Head of Retail at Rome Airports where he realized an audit, created a strategic plan which execution led to a spectacular increase of the net profit. In 2009 Dart Enterprises called Alex to become the CEO of ICL, a leading Caribbean luxury retail firm, with the mission to realize a turnaround process. Five years later he has accepted the invitation of Savage Consulting to bring his expertise to the consulting firm’s clients. Samantha Widmer is a well-rounded and dynamic business professional with 10 years work experience in the finance, asset management, marketing and consultancy world. Born and raised in Grand Cayman she holds a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation with the state of New Hampshire, USA and has also been an international ambassador for the islands in the sport of golf.
Samantha’s professional career started at Ernst & Young, a leading global accounting firm, providing a high paced, competitive environment to gain professional development training at the highest level. She was later recruited to work at Dart Realty within the Finance and Asset Management departments to improve their financial processes, construct firm-wide financial policies and provide analytical advice to the company’s Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Savage Consulting, Samantha held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing at Ironwood Ltd., a new Arnold Palmer Golf Resort covering 600-acres including a 27-hole championship golf course, vacation resort, beach club, town centre, residential housing and sports centre.
